Our Sponsored Artist of the Month for December goes to an artist who is incredibly talented, and although she hasn't been tattooing for very long, we have no doubt that she will go very far in the tattoo industry.  We’re taking a look at the amazing work done by our Sponsored Artist Amy Ellis.

Apprenticing under the supervision of Scott Wyness at Alchemy tattoo in Accrington, Amy has worked really hard to learn the craft of tattooing and is constantly pushing herself as an artist to become even better with every tattoo that she creates. Now a fully fledged artist, Amy specialises in creating black and grey tattoos. The realistic tattoos that she makes are beautiful, and frequent subject matter varies from skulls, to animals, to scenery.

At Magnum Tattoo Supplies where we stock the Victor Portugal Greywash Tattoo Ink Set, we love to be able to support such brilliant artists and promote their tattoos, and we believe that Amy really is one to watch, so if you’re into black and grey tattoos then why not check out her work right here?

Skull tattoos seem to be a favourite that Amy’s customers keep coming back for, and we can totally see why! The depth created in Amy's work is phenomenal.

A warrior wearing a helmet. Amy has captured the apprehensive expression in the eyes really well. Another example of the brilliant work that Amy does, showing the varying tones of greywash that makes the tattoo look really detailed.

Another skull wearing a large hat. Skulls are definitely Amy's speciality.

A really beautiful personal tattoo of a child gazing into a forest. Amy really enjoys doing personal tattoos, and we’re sure her customer was very pleased with it too!

A perfect eye tattoo. The detail here is insane.

Not only does Amy create lovely black and grey realism tattoos, she also enjoys the odd colour piece as well. This gorgeous Robin tattoo is a really cute tattoo done by Amy. Its great to see an artist create something that’s out of their usual realm.

Lastly, a stunning ram skull. This one is really detailed and Amy has captured every last bit of the skull perfectly. This is the kind of work that we love seeing on a regular basis!

If you’d like to see more of Amy's work then make sure you give her Instagram page a follow: @amy_ellistattoos. Keep up to date with any conventions or guest spots that she may have in the pipeline, and get a daily dose of her excellent work. If like Amy you’re a tattoo artist who specialises in black and grey work, then head over to our website where we have a huge range of black and grey inks, including the Victor Portugal Grey Wash Tattoo Ink Set.
