This week, following Stephanie Melbourne's brilliant weekend at Leeds Tattoo Expo where she picked up the award for 'Best of Day Saturday', we're taking a look at some of the bold and beautiful neo-traditional tattoos done by our Pro-team member. Stephanie's colourful neo-traditional pieces are always solidt and bright, and we're constantly in awe of the gorgeous work that she produces each week. If you love music festivals, then chances are you're one of the lucky festival goers living it up at Glastonbury this weekend, to see the likes of Stormzy, The Chemical Brothers, Wu Tang Clan, and hundreds more acts take to the stages to perform. Festivals are so much fun, (especially if the weather is good), and the fun-filled weekends often entail camping, beer, wellies, and a lot of singing and dancing!
This week we're looking at some of the incredible colour work done recently by our Pro-team member Mark Gittens, owner of Church Street Tattoo in Cheshire. Mark excels at all styles, but he's definitely partial to traditional, and neo-traditional work, and favours bright and colourful work over black and grey tattoos. He's never one to shy away from any style and will always go out of his way to make sure his customers get the absolute best, regardless of style.
This month, we were pleased to learn that airline company Air New Zealand has made the decision to end the ban on staff having visible tattoos. This, according to Air New Zealand has been done in a bid to allow staff to 'express cultural and individual diversity'., and to liberate their employees. There are plenty of New Zealanders who want to be able to pay homage to their Maori heritage and have tattoos that proudly express their genealogy. So, as of September, all employees will be able to display 'non-offensive' tattoos in their place of work.
We always love seeing progression in artists, and a change of style is always a really interesting thing to see, especially when it's just as brilliant as the previous style. This time last year, our Sponsored Artist Adam Link was focused on doing colourful neo-traditional tattoos that featured an array of bright tones with content such as girl heads, animals, and pop-culture portraits. A year on, and Adam's work is still as stunning as ever, but recently he's producing a lot more black and grey coloured neo-traditional work, that has some really cool, dark elements to it.
The Office is probably (most definitely) undoubtedly one of the best TV shows in the history of television. The Office has given us 9 seasons of unrivaled comedy from the crew at Dunder-Mifflin. With so many hilarious characters to choose from, it's hard to pick which Scranton-based paper salesman you love the most. On the one hand, we absolutely love Jim Halpert, and we couldn't keep our eyes off the Jim and Pam saga, but we're also staunch followers of highest-ranking salesman Dwight K Schrute and his maniacal ways. Not forgetting everyone's favourite manager Michael Scott!
