Virgo is the star sign of those born between 22nd August and 23rd September. The visual representation of Virgo is typically a beautiful lady, and it is believed that Astraea, the Greek Goddess of purity, virginity and innocence is what the Virgo symbol is based upon (according to Greek mythology anyway).
Star sign tattoos are seemingly quite common, and beautiful ladies in general are a really popular theme for tattoos, so luckily for Virgos it’s a great way to tie in an already brilliant subject matter for a tattoo along with your horoscope. The horoscope symbol itself looks like the Letter ‘M' with a looped leg. It actually looks quite similar to the Scorpio symbol, and is also a really cute idea for a tattoo.
Virgo is an earth sign. Earth signs tend to be workaholics, especially Virgos who are said to be really hard working. Other great qualities attributed to Virgos are loyalty and kindness. They’re also very practical and analytical sorts, which can lead to them being overly critical of themselves when over analysing. They’re said to be worriers, but their practical nature allows them to problem solve with ease.
Whether or not you believe in any of the above is entirely up to you, but it’s certainly always entertaining to read up on your horoscope! For fans of astrology, star sign tattoos are a great idea, and At Magnum Tattoo Supplies where you can buy Dynamic White Tattoo Ink online, we’ve came across some really gorgeous Virgo tattoos that we think you’ll really love. Take a look...
First up, a really intriguing Virgo piece that incorporates multiple elements of the star sign into it. A lovely lady featuring the Virgo star constellation adorned in her hair. A really wonderful tattoo done by Zdvyhl, an artist from Prague.
A truly stunning piece from Trish Donnely. We love the black and grey that’s framed with some bold white highlights, really making the tattoo stand out!
We’re loving this watercolour piece from @jalan85_. The colours are really pretty and it’s such an constellation tattoo.
A gorgeous abstract piece from talented artist Ola Rau. The dotwork is absolutely stunning against the geometric elements of the tattoo.
A Virgo symbol Mandalas style piece from Darocks Almere. Everything about this tattoo is beautiful.
We love how dainty this constellation piece is, and we really like how the lines fade in to different colours. A wonderful touch!
Last but not least, an incredible neo-traditional Virgo lady done by the extremely talented Tori Wartooth. Her work is truly stunning.
We hope you’ve enjoyed admiring these pretty Virgo themed tattoos, and as always we'd love to hear from you if you’ve made any Virgo tattoos that you’d like to share with us.
