Poppy and Remembrance themed tattoos | Eternal Ink Lipstick Red

RSS
Last Sunday, the 11th November was Remembrance Sunday marked 100 years since the end of World War 1.   It is a day to honour and remember all of the men and women who sacrificed their lives for their country and for future generations.

The Poppy flower is a symbol strongly associated with November the 11th, and we’ve seen plenty of people wearing these with pride. The beautiful crimson flower is a reminder of Armistice day, and not only do people wear these pinned to their clothing, but they have also been depicted in the form of tattoos.
Some people have chosen to honour their fellow men and women by adorning beautiful poppy tattoos, and Remembrance themed tattoos. It’s a lovely way to pay respect to those who have risked, and given  their lives during the war and At Magnum Tattoo Supplies where we stock Eternal Ink Lipstick Red, the perfect colour for Poppy tattoos, we’ve came across some absolutely stunning pieces that we wanted to share with you.

First up, this beautiful neo-traditional poppy themed piece is just gorgeous. The poppies seem to be the main focus of the piece, but the striking coloured flowers and bee are a lovely touch.

We love this single needle poppy tattoo. It’s so intricate and delicate, and just goes to show that if you’re not a fan of big colour pieces, it’s still possible to have a lovely flower piece tattooed on you.

This cluster of poppies from Roxy Velvet is absolutely stunning. We really love how detailed this is, and it’s most definitely one of our favourite poppy themed tattoos.

‘Remember them’. A really sombre and lovely tattoo depicting a soldier standing at a cross, and in the forefront his comrades are fighting in the trenches, framed by beautiful poppies.

This was memorial themed sleeve is incredible. The amount of detail in this delicate piece is insane.  We love how the majority of this piece is black and grey, however the artist has chosen to colour the poppies in red so they really stand out.

This is the first time we’ve came across a Japanese style poppy piece, and it really is marvelous. The bright red petals of the poppies are really bold and bright, and they look great against the black background.

Remembrance tattoos are a really lovely and touching idea, and they’re a great way to show honour and respect towards the soldiers, the hospital staff, the factory workers, and every single person who worked tirelessly to fight for their country.  Perhaps you’ll be creating some poppy themed remembrance day tattoos this November? In which case, if you’re looking to get some new tattoo ink, then Eternal Ink Lipstick Red is the perfect colour for this kind of piece. Male sure you head over to our online store and take a look.

Love Toni
