For the first month of 2019, our Sponsored Artist appreciation blog goes to someone who has been on our team from the very beginning.  A talented tattoo artist who specialises in both traditional, and neo-traditional work.

January's Sponsored Artist of the month goes to Mark Gittens, a brilliant artist who works from and owns Church Street Tattoo in Cheshire.

Mark is a well-established tattoo artist who has really solidified his place within the tattoo industry. He runs a very successful tattoo studio that houses some extremely talented artists.  Mark favours traditional, and neo-traditional work, but he is never afraid to try any style of tattooing, be it black and grey, dotwork, or realism.

Mark has drawn and painted from a young age, first picking up a tattoo machine around 9 years ago. He never realised he could make a living from doing something that he truly loved, but now as a hard working tattoo artist with a solid client base, he believes that everything from his early years and his interest in art lead up to his career in tattooing.  He plans on working more tattoo conventions and wants to progress with his work even more, so watch this space!

As suppliers of the Radiant Colours Traditional Tattoo Ink Set, we love seeing Mark's work, and if you're a fan of bold trad tattoos and fantastic neo-traditional pieces, then make sure you check out Mark's incredible work right here.

First up, an Old School Vans Tattoo.  We've seen a lot of traditional style Vans pieces, and this one is most definitely up there with the best.  A classic example of Mark's solid traditional work.

An amazing neo-traditional style bear with an arrow.  We really love Mark's Neo-traditional style, which he consistently excels at.

Another Neo-trad piece.  Mark's skulls and roses are easily recognisable, and we can see why his customers flock to him to get this kind of piece.

A beautiful hand tattoo in the form of a traditional mandala.  Stunning work.

A spooky Bart Simpson Frankenstein piece - taken from Mark's Halloween flash sheet.  We love it!

This is one of our favourite pieces that Mark has recently done.  An incredible old school lighthouse tattoo.

Last but not least, a brilliant traditional eagle tattoo.  Mark's work is really bold, and we love seeing the healed work on his customers as well.  It really is a testament to Mark's tattooing.

If you'd like to check out more of Mark's tattoos and find out about any conventions he'll be working in 2019 then why not give him a follow on his Instagram page: @markgittenstattooer . Don't forget, if you're looking to create some brilliant Neo-traditional tattoos like Mark does, then check out the Radiant Colours Traditional Tattoo Ink Set on our website, which contains 5 strikingly bold traditional inks!

Love Toni
