We love showing appreciation every month for our brilliant sponsored artists, and this August, our sponsored artist of the month goes to our very own Pete Nelson. Pete was our first ever sponsored artist, and we're really proud to have him on the Magnum team.

Peter 'Lord' Nelson has been tattooing since early 2006, where he passionately studied his craft under the guidance of the talented artists at Saz's Tattoo Studio in Warrington. He later went on to open his own successful tattoo shop, Lord Nelson Tattoos in the heart of Chester city centre. His beautiful tattoo studio is situated on the old rows of Watergate Street, (a really eye-catching place if you ever get chance to visit!).

Pete's passion lies within realism but he does very much enjoy all styles of tattooing. He excels at both colour realism, and black and grey realism, but the thing we love about Pete is that he’s also a great all-rounder and is more than happy to do different styles from neo-traditional to geometric, and he is brilliant at everything he does.  He works alongside a team of very talented artists, and we love seeing all of the work produced at Lord Nelson Tattoos.

Pete is a huge fan of Radiant Colors Tattoo Ink, and over the past year he has switched his whole ink range to Radiant inks. His colour work is always very bright and bold, and it continues to look really vibrant even after the tattoo has well and truly healed.

Take a look at some of Pete's excellent work right here...

A tribute to the talented David Gilmour of Pink Floyd. An incredible colour realism tattoo by Pete.

A gorgeous hand tattoo of a compass. Part of a beautiful black and grey travel themed sleeve.

We love this Bill Murray portrait done by Pete. Black and grey portraits are definitely his specialty.  We're sure Bill would approve.

A big religious leg piece, done beautifully. Pete is very much sought after for his black and grey work.

One for you Toy Story fans! A brilliant Buzz Lightyear tattoo. ‘To infinity, and beyond.’

Last but not least, a gorgeous icons-themed sleeve done by Pete. Absolutely stunning work.

If you’re heading to Chester any time soon then make sure you check out Pete's lovely tattoo studio and see more of his stunning work. Pete is a big fan of Liverpool Tattoo Convention and works there every year, so if you're planning on visiting this convention next May, then you can catch Pete there. You can also take a look at his beautiful tattoos over at @lordnelsontattoos on Instagram.

If you’re looking for some new tattoo ink then why not give Radiant Colors Tattoo Ink a try? It’s available in 4 different sizes including 1/2oz, which is great if you’re wanting to test it out! Head over to our online store to check out the full range.

Love Toni
