 When we think of Valentine's day, we often think of the Cupid. The phrase ‘hit with Cupid's arrow’ comes to mind, and in classic mythology, Cupid was the God of desire, erotic love, attraction and affection. He is said to be the son of the love goddess Venus and the war god Mars. He is also referred to as Amor in Latin, which means love. It is believed that anyone two people who are shot by Cupid's arrow are filled with uncontrollable desire for each other.


Nowadays, when we think of Cupid, we tend to think of a cute little cherub rather than a God, and these chubby little cherubs are always a brilliantly popular subject matter for tattoos!
