Last October saw the release of the much anticipated Joker movie, which grossed $93.5 over it's release weekend.  Directed by Tod Phillips who was responsible for The Hangover trilogy, Joker depicts the downfall of Arthur Fleck, an amateur stand-up comedian suffering from mental illness who goes on to lead a life of crime.  Fuelled by the damaging incidents that Arthur experiences in life, and the realisation that society has turned its back on him, he eventually materialises as the Joker.  It's a sad film in many ways, and it really makes you empathise with Arthur, to the point where you find yourself really rooting for him (despite the fact that he becomes a serial murderer). 

When The Joker was first introduced to the world through the Batman comic books by DC Comics, he was a psychopath, but throughout the years he has been represented in various ways; as a goofy prankster, a narcissist and a criminal mastermind, so it's interesting to see the portrayal of the Joker over time, by different actors and directors. 

With Joaquin Phoenix's incredible depiction of Arthur Fleck in Todd Phillips' recent hit movie Joker, it's not surprising to see that there are so many Joker-themed tattoos being created at the moment!  Not only do we love a good Arthur Fleck tattoo, but we're always keen to see past versions of the Joker in tattoo form.
