What drew you to Magnum Tattoo Supplies?

What drew me to Magnum was the amazing team behind the scenes. The customer service is second to none and it's great to be able to build a connection with people who are passionate about the industry and providing the best products.

How long have you been tattooing and how did you get started?

I've been tattooing full time for around 4 years now. I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to apprentice at O'Happy Dagger tattoo, formerly owned by Paul Tipping and Hayley Langan. I built up a portfolio of work and was fortunate enough that they were looking for an apprentice at the time. It was an amazing place to learn and gain knowledge from a bunch of extremely talented artists.

What is your favourite thing about your job as a tattoo artist?

Being able to be creative every day is something that not everyone is lucky enough to do, so that's something I absolutely love about this job. No two days are the same and it's always great to meet people who are enthusiastic about what you do and who share a passion for tattooing.

What is your proudest moment so far professionally?

I think being able to build a wide and loyal customer base has been a big achievement for me. There are so many incredible artists out there today, so the fact that customers come back for more and are willing to travel to get tattooed is a massive honour and I really appreciate that.

What do you love to tattoo and what would you like to do more of?

I absolutely love tattooing anything traditional. Animal heads and daggers are two massive favourites of mine and I really enjoy putting the two together. That and skulls. You can't beat a good skull. Always so much fun to tattoo and make any design instantly cooler.

I'm really looking forward to taking on some more large-scale pieces in 2022 and would love to create some full front and back pieces. It's a big commitment, but very rewarding for both customer and tattooist.

What are your hobbies and passions outside of tattooing?

I've started to run over the last couple of years and it's escalated into running a couple of ultra marathons. It's an amazing way to switch off and allows me to come back to work feeling restored with a clear head. Not only that, but I love being able to get my body moving. After a long session tattooing, getting out for a quick run really helps loosen up my body and keep my back feeling relatively fresh.

What are your ambitions for the future?

My ambitions for the future are to continue to grow as a tattooist and keep improving. I still feel like I am constantly learning and, even after a few years in the industry, I think there is still so much more to come. I'm looking forward to seeing how my style develops and evolves over the next few years.

I'd love to have the opportunity to travel and book some guest spots over the next few years. There are so many incredible studios throughout the UK and it would be amazing to experience some new environments and pick the brains of other tattooists.
