What NOT to say to people with tattoos | Tattoo Aftercare 0

As anyone with more than a few tattoos will know, they’re often a big topic of conversation with friends, family, colleagues, and quite often – complete strangers.  Now I don’t mind the odd innocent question when people are genuinely interested in my tattoos and have harmless queries about them.  That’s absolutely fine.  However, I’ve found since getting quite a lot of visible tattoos, that I’m sometimes faced with strange questions that I’ve either found to be annoying, intrusive, or just downright offensive.

The Dos and Don’ts of new Tattoos | Best Tattoo Lotion 0

So I recently talked about the Dos and Don’ts of piercings, so I thought it was only right that I posted about the Dos and Don’ts of new tattoos as well!  I’ve already discussed the different food types that we should be eating during the healing stages of tattoos, but what in general should we do, (or not do) after we’ve had our beloved tattoos done?

Amazing Mandala Tattoos | Rotary Tattoo Machines 0

Tattoo trends come and go, but one of my favourite trends at the moment (one that’s been around for a while but seems to have become a lot more prevalent over the past few years) is Mandala tattoos. Mandalas are spiritual figures that represent the universe in Hindu and Buddhist symbolism. It’s a beautiful metaphysical representation of the cosmos, so it’s not surprising that given its spiritual meaning and aesthetically pleasing symmetrical qualities it’s became a really popular subject for tattooing.

'Appearance does not reflect character, capability, or morals' - Tattoos in the workplace | Tattoo Equipment 0

A topic of discussion that frequently tends to crop between my friends and I, is tattoos in the workplace.  Now, I understand that depending on the industry you work in, tattoos will either be accepted, frowned upon, or just totally unacceptable.  Certain workplaces don’t openly welcome or encourage body art, but because of the nature of the job, they can’t, and won’t discriminate against it, while others simply will not employ people based on their appearance.  I recently read an article about a petition that’s been formed in Canada to make it illegal to discriminate against people with tattoos, and it really got me thinking about the tattoo discrimination that still takes place in the UK today.

Brilliant Bowie Tattoos! | Buy Tattoo Supplies Online 0

One of my all-time favourite musicians is David Bowie.  In previous years I've seen quite a lot of David Bowie tattoos, but since David's death in 2016, there's definitely been an increase in the tattoo tributes from Bowie fans, and I think it's lovely.  I'd contemplated a Bowie tattoo myself, but have never got round to it, (and hopefully in the future I will!).  My favourite Bowie era, much to some people's suprise is the 80's era, so if I were to get a tribute, it'd have to be based on his 80's look!  I love his aesthetic in the video for 'Let's Dance', so I think that'd be the look I go for with his big blonde hair!
Let's check out some of these amazing Bowie tattoos, based on different Bowie eras that hardcore Bowie fans have decided to get!

Tattooed restaurant customer didn't fit the 'target market' | Tattoo Cartridges 0

I recently read quite a shocking newspaper article from September, about a man who was asked to leave an Aukland restaurant because of his head tattoos.  Aaron, the man in question visited the 'upmarket' establishment with a female friend, and minutes after taking their seats, they were approached by the restaurant owner who asked them to leave, as he didn't think Aaron was the right 'target market' for the restaurant, and he didn't fit the dress code.  The owner told him he could not serve them because of how heavily tattooed he was.
