I recently talked about celebrities with tattoos, and their role in influence on tattoos culture in the mainstream media, but it's not just tattoos that are extremely popular with our favourite musicians and actors right now.  Facial piercings are also becoming a lot more fashionable within mainstream culture - in particular the Septum piercing. 

I've had my Septum piercing for about 8 years now, and I absolutely love it.  I had quite a few facial piercings in my younger years, all of which I've taken out aside from my septum ring, and now more than ever before, septum piercings are becoming extremely popular for young women thanks to the celebrities who've been sporting them lately!

Amber Rose seems to be in the headlines quite frequently, and she looks absolutely stunning with her septum piercing.  I think the facial jewellery contrasted against her shaved head is a really cool look. 

 

Rihanna has been rocking her septum piercing for a while now and I think it really suits her!  I think she's one of the main reasons young girls are getting septum piercings nowadays, and it's great that there's jewellery available that can be flipped up inside the nostrils to hide it whenever you don't want your piercing on show. 

 

I never knew Ellie Goulding had a septum piercing, but I think it really suits her! I like that she's gone for the subtle option of just a simple ring. Beautiful!

 

I'm pretty sure Kylie Jenner's septum piercing was a fake one - but either way, she's absolutely killing this look!  This has been her main Instagram picture for a while now, and I think that she's had a massive influence on the amount on young girls who've had septum piercings over the past year. 

 

Last but not least, one of my favourite Hip Hop star at the moment - Lil Uzi Vert.  He's not so well known over in the UK at the moment, but he's huge in the US, and I think it's great to see a male star sporting a septum ring too!
